Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Kind. This is the Classroom Agreement from our Grandson’s teacher. He is in Grade One.
I think, no matter what our age is, we could all do well to live with this agreement throughout our lives.

true & sweet – such patience teachers have to have – every single one of them deserves a raise 🙂
I agree. Silas is very lucky to have this teacher. This week she sent out photos and two videos of the class activities by email to all the parents. WOW! That is dedication.
I have a friend who teaches — feel especially sorry for her since she said how many of the students don’t turn their zoom camera on because they’re ashamed of where they live, so she’s teaching to black boxes
That is so very sad. Maybe someone could tell them how to put a background behind them. It can be done. Our son showed us and now and then he puts some crazy background on when we are talking to him via Facetime or What’s App.
lol those backgrounds give me the creeps – the way the edges of one’s body get pixilated – but in case of my friend’s students, it’ll often be several siblings, same couch, sitting on same couch…
Yes that is the downside of those backgrounds.
Hope school is going well. Here in Colorado, it is rather uneven. School opens, school close. The only conclusion one can draw is the planning and preparations were poorly drawn and very unimaginative. And, poorly executed. Yes, learning went online when a school had to close down but when it reopened, there was a lot of uncertainty and hesitancy.
Silas is at a small school so that makes it easier and in rhe town where they live there have been very few cases of Covid. But Toronto is pretty messy
News this morning says one school has been closed. The online learning is pretty sketchy from what I’ve heard. I just hope Silas school can stay open as the social aspects are so important for the little kids.
I hope it stays that way for your Silas. What you heard about online learning is quite true. It works when the technology and the internet connection is there. In many instances, the internet connection times out. I wouldn’t expect a little one (or their parent) to know how to reset everything.
When we were in the full locldown Silas teacher sent out some.programs he could do on his IPAD. That seemed to go OK but each exercise was a short amount of time and still needed some parental supervision. He really missed his friends during the lockdown and has only been able to see all of them now school is back in.
Yes maa, I accept your words. With or without any virus or pandemic. We have to follow this.
Thanks for this comment Subbashini. I agree that this is wisdom for our lives.
Good sign, all good stuff. And excellent shirt for your grandson. I was skinny all through school, and if the words were horizontal on my T-shirts, you could never read the complete thing. Mine would’ve looked like “Legen…” or “Aweso…”
Silas is pretty slim too but I think the t-shirt was sized right for him. Thanks for commenting. 😃
This is wonderful! He is so ADORABLE! Definitely things we should all live by and I have to say my favorites; ask others to play who seem sad or lonely 🤗 and Be You, Be Awesome!! ❤️
I think it is wonderful too. And I love the Be Kind suggestions. Silas has previously said his teacher is “very pretty” and “very old”. My daughter says she looks like she is about 30.😄
Haha, I can remember when I was little how very old was around 30! So cute!! 🤣
