Hello Dear Humans. Ma Leueen was telling me something about a photo challenge that involved a festival of leaves. “I can do that one,” I said. ” You take a couple of photos of me in my paddock and I can do all the words.” So she took some photos and I approved them. So lets start with the leaves.
The humans in my neighbourhood are all chatting about the colors of the leaves and how they are not as good as usual because there has been too much rain, the skies are too dull and grey and so on. Well they are right about the rain. It has rained and rained and rained. My paddock is a bog of sinking mud by the gate. I do not like it. But I’m lucky that my paddock has lots of other ground that is not so wet.
Ma Leueen got me a new rain sheet. It is quite splendid. The color is a bright orange like a pumpkin. Seasonal don’t you think? I love it because it is covers me well and it keeps me dry and warm. The other horses all have dreary sheets that are black or dark blue. I don’t want one like that. I want to stand out! And since I’m a chestnut horse, with a red coat, the bright color looks good on me don’t you think? Here is a photo of me in my new rain sheet.
Now…. as you can see I am eating some hay. You can also see that there are a lot of leaves on the ground. I Do Not Want to eat those. So… I use my upper lip to wiffle out the hay from the leaves. My upper lip can push the leaves aside and move the hay into my mouth. We horses can do things like that.
Until next time Dear Humans. Be well ! Be happy!
I’d love to hear from you!
