Temporary: lasting only for a limited period of time. This is the WordPress Photo Challenge for the week. A few days ago I took Biasini out to the forest trails. It was a cold day but Biasini had a quarter sheet over his hind quarters and with me in my ‘long johns’ I knew we would be warm enough. The forest was beautiful; most of the leaves had fallen, the bugs were gone and the air was still and silent. We were out for almost an hour.
The next day a cold front blew in, the temperatures dropped well below freezing and the ground was white with snow. This photo was just a temporary sight: twenty-four hours later…….gone!
Beautiful,❤️

I love your idea of “temporary!” Last week, most of the trees by us still had leaves. Today, there are no leaves left on the trees–how quickly things change!!

Yes it can happen that fast. Now we have no leaves anywhere and the snow is a melting mucky mess as the temps are up to a smidgen above freesing.

Thank you. The snow is now melting as temps have gone just above freezing. Mucky!

stunning! Glad you got out before the super cold. I can only imagine how stunning that sight would be covered in snow.

Yes it is beautiful with snow. But I don’t put snow pads on Biasini as we go to FL in about a month. Today it has warmed up to just above freezing and snow has turned to mucky slop!

Oh I bet that is mucky!

The paddocks have patches that are ankle deep mud. I say it’s like the trenches in WW1
