“The history of Mankind is carried on the back of a horse.” Author Unknown
Once the horse was domesticated and humans learned to ride a new world opened up. No longer limited to transporting ourselves on our two legs we could traverse continents on horses. Battles were not longer scrapping about on the ground but now mounted military charged and changed the battlefield forever. And then came the rise of the Equestrian Class; one of two aristocratic classes of ancient Rome. Throughout history the aristocracy were those who could afford horses and the commoners, those who could not. Mankind’s history has indeed been carried on the back of a horse.
How true that quote is!!!

Amazing analysis of how horses change mankind’s history. When I first read the header quote, I didn’t get it until I read your narrative. Thanks for sharing.
