You may have read the blog post yesterday where Biasini speaks about the adventure he, and his companion Touch, had when they encountered a man, dressed in red, who was wielding a sword over his head. Biasini tells us that he did not know, at first, what the shiny metal thing was that the man was waving, but then his “ancestor memories” clicked in and he realized it was a sword. Horses have survived the millennia because they carry their ancestor’s memories of how to survive. Perhaps Biasini saw something like this in his mind and knew he had to flee.
This Battle of the Boyne took place in Ireland in 1690. But here is a man dressed in a red coat and wielding a sword. Who is to say Biasini did not “see” this in his ancestor memories?

I believe it is safe to say that Biasini was either cavalry horse flunkie, or was a good military horse who remembered it and did a “Nah, I’ve done this before, I’m good” pirouette.

You are right! Both Biasini and Touch are advanced dressage horses so yes, they did nifty pirouettes and then passaged away from danger. I can see Biasini in the Battle of the Boyne passaging to stomp on the enemy!😄
