My Amazing Horse!

Today I had the pleasure of watching Lynsey Rowan have a lesson from Belinda Trussell on my horse Biasini. Of course I would like to be riding myself but to be honest watching is a great joy .

The lesson started with canter work. What did I hear Belinda say most often? Ride with lots of snaffle! And if Biasini would start to hang on Lynseys hand Belinda would tell her to push and use more leg . She told Lynsey to ask herself “could you give” meaning could she give the reins. If ‘no’ then she had to use more push with her leg. Here is a video.

Toward the end of the lesson they did some trot work. This was a very fancy trot! At the end of the lesson Belinda told Lynsey that when she is competing with Biasini she wants to see the entire trot tour with that quality of trot. Belinda always raises the bar!!

I have to say that I was so impressed at how quickly Lynsey would get a directive from Belinda and carry it out and the improvement was so clear to see! So, if I am not able to ride at the moment it is a wonderful thrill for me to see a professional create such a beautiful horse in motion.

I will never get over the wonder of seeing a horse take instructions when those instructions aren’t visible to the human eye! It’s so beautifully done.
