Canadian Eh?

This past Sunday we went to watch our Grandson play hockey. They come onto the ice and do some practices first. Our Grandson is not an experienced skater as he had just started lessons back in 2019 and then Covid struck. But despite not being the best skater he loves the hockey skating. The coach worked with him in the practice session on skating backwards.

Then once the practice was finished they had another team come on the ice and they had a game.

Our Grandson is #8. He’s behind the net in case the puck comes back and then he can shoot it round to a teammate and they could score a goal. He has seen the professional players do that!

The teams are all 8 and 9 year old kids. They may be small but they are serious about their hockey!

I have no idea who won the game . I don’t think anyone was keeping score. But they were all having a grand time.

Our Grandson loves the hockey. Our daughter tells us that he loves to come to the arena and can’t wait to get out on the ice. And he was very happy that we had come to watch him play.

We all went out together for lunch afterwards; our daughter, son in law and our Hockey player Grandson. It was a great family day. And just as an FYI… in Eastern Canada they often say “eh” at the end of a phrase or sentence. Hence my title and it implies that our Grandson is a true Canadian. He plays hockey eh!

It’s great to see the kids doing something active and enjoying it.
I’ve come to quite like viewing sports on t.v. (except for horse racing). I don’t much like British football either, but American football is fantastic. It’s so exciting! Dressage is fab too. D

Yes it is great to see kids active in sport. I like watching skating, tennis and track and field on TV. And of course dressage!. Thanks for commenting Lesley.

    Hockey, no horses?

About eh … you’re a horse rider, eh? And, Biasini wears an orange rain blanket, eh? (I couldn’t help myself, eh.) 🙂

Our 4-year-old granddaughter just started playing ice hockey and she loves it! She’s a Blackhawks fan and attended their summer camp this year. I hope your grandson continues to enjoy the game. Great pics, Anne!

The boys I nanny for are both playing hockey. They are 4 & 6 – the whole family are such hockey fans – mom was almost in the Olympics when she was playing. I am learning so much about the sport and it’s a whole culture!! So great for your grandson – it’s so good to get out there! It takes courage! Good for him!!❤️💜❤️

It is a very exciting game if you can see it live. Our daughter is the senior VP of an American Hockey League team. So we have been to see several of the games that the team plays. It is rough but so fast and very exciting!

Having a good time is better than keeping score.

      Amen to that!!
