I love to watch the squirrels that come to eat up the seeds that the birds drop from the bird feeder. They are all such characters! They also like to have a drink from the ground level bird bath. So I am dedicating this post to squirrels and linking it to Jez “Fan of ” challenge.
Sometimes there may be several squirrels and this one was not certain if it should come down to join them or not.

Speaking for myself…as I sort of squirrelly person…I feel a kinship with the little guys.

We have a lot of squirrels around our house too lol. Sometimes they’ll bicker with the birds for seeds.
The ones here never get into any discussion with thr birds. The birds that are ground feeders are mourning doves . So they are bigger . Maybe squirrels don’t want to get into a tussle with them.
Ah, smart idea! When we lived in the city, some mourning doves made a nest in our giant outdoor umbrella. It was so much fun watching them raise their chicks!
The squirrels in our neighborhood really give Merle the run around. I think they talk some serious smack!
Haha! Yes. Our little dog sees them put the kitchen window and snarls amd barks at them.

With the exception of your black squirrel (which we do not have) those photos could just as easily been taken in our back yard, including the reference to the doves joining in the seed on ground clean ups!
