Stills and video on a Spring Sunday!

Terri has given us the suggestion of Fabulous Seasonal Flowers for Sunday Stills. Here in Ontario we have only small hints of spring. The weather has been cold and last week we had a blizzard! Snow everywhere! But all the flowers I am going to show you survived! That survival, in itself, is fabulous!

Small tulip, blue muscari and two about-to-bloom jonquils.
A little sun and warmer temperatures and these daffodils will all be in full bloom.
Puschkinia
Puschkinia and the green shoots are daylillies. In the background the farmer’s field that was full of corn last summer. Nothing sown or growing there yet.
This is the trail that leads to the Goat Trail.

And last, but not least, I have been taking Biasini out to the forest. I decided that we should see if the Goat Trail was open and did not have any trees down on it. Several places in the forest have trees down but if they are on a wider trail Biasini can step over them. But the goat trail is so narrow and it would be hard to turn around if the way was blocked. But I decided to give it a go. No flowers on the trail but won’t you join us for a ride? Here is a video of part of the trail. Select “full screen” to see it best.

As you can see there is just a hint of green starting at the sides of the trail so spring is on the way. The other thing I must tell you is that Biasini, my FEI level dressage horse, is walking along on this trail on a completely loose rein. The reins are “on the buckle”. What a champion he is!

The flowers are so pretty!! Biasini is so brave walking along on the buckle. That’s so great he never calls out, he’s like my Chloe girl as she never calls and I ride her on the buckle too!! Your trails are beautiful 💙🐴💙 Have a great week!! ❤️

Biasini i very confident on the trails. Also he rarely calls out in the barn either. He and Chloe would get on well.🙂

Anne! Your way-north-of-us flowers are gorgeous. And I LOVED the horse ride. I felt like I was there!

I’m not surprised that Biasini walks with a loose rein, Anne. He is an impressive horse! Loved the video (no flowers on my forest walks either…yet) but my oh my, your spring florals are definitely fabulous! And they must be hardy to ensure the Easter snow! I love those day lilies. So glad you can join us this week on Sunday Stills!
