Integrity

I was holdng a can of Seagram’s Ginger Ale in my hand when I noticed it had a strange looking somewhat mythical horse on the side and beneath it the word: Integrity

Integrity? How could that apply to a horse? I looked up the definition.

Integrity, noun “the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles”

and

the state of being whole and undivided”

Then I looked for some meaningful quotes.

“Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not.”

Oprah Winfrey

Supporting the truth, even when it is unpopular, shows the capacity for honesty and integrity.

Steve Brunkhorst

I didn’t feel that either of those quotes could apply to horses. I believe horses are sentient beings capable of emotions and considerable intelligence but integrity is not something I think horses dwell on or decide upon. So what was the meaning of this word on the side of a Ginger Ale can beneath a stylized graphic of a horse? To be honest…….I have no idea.

But I found one quote about Integrity that struck a note. To me this quote speaks of what is happening in the world today in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the war ,and the leader responsible for the death and destruction.

“Power really is a test of character. In the hands of a person of integrity, it is of tremendous benefit; in the hands of a tyrant, it causes terrible destruction.”

Yes Emma you are right. They don’t care about who you are or how much you have.

I do not know much on the horse but it stands for strong, masculine so the drink.
    Hahaha

I wondered if it was something to do with the drink but it is just a non alcoholic Ginger Ale and so not too strong in taste just fizzy and pleasant. Thanks for leaving a comment .

The Seagrams Ginger Ale is actually milder than the Schweppes which is sharper and has a more “ginger” taste.

            I love to taste it.
We make such stuff at home.
Ginger, lime, cardamom and sugar it just becomes a nice drink
            Try it, proportions are yours

    Too true.
Integrity and horses – my brother, who worked outback stations with teams of horses, trusted his mounts to save his life on more than one occasion because they always protect the herd, even to their own detriment. To me, that’s integrity, too.

Indeed it is. Horses are faithful to their people too.

    That quote is so pertinent.
    Thanks for this!

Yes it is pertinent! That struck me as well. Sad but true.
