For the past 3.5 months we have been in Wellington Florida. This is Horse Central. Between the Winter Equestrian Festival at Wellington International ( formerly known at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center or PBIEC to its’ friends!) where there is a horse show that is the longest lasting one in the world spanning 12 weeks with literally thousands of horses competing in the hunter and jumper classes. Also there is the Global Dressage Festival with several CDI competitions ranging from 1* to 5*. Anywhere you go you can see signs like this.
The other day, while I was hand grazing Biasini, I decided to count how many horse trailers came past on the road at the front of the farm. In just three minutes I saw: two European style horse boxes, two four or six horse ,fifth wheel, truck and trailers, and two stock trailers that carry polo ponies. They can have up to 12 horses on those trailers. There are so many horses all on the move to the horse shows, or to the polo matches. At the barn where Biasini is staying there are five four horse trailers and one two horse trailer. Sometimes there will be a visiting horse. One visitor came in a very fancy trailer.
Thank you so much for sharing all those great photos of where you were during your time in Florida! Horse Central is almost an understatement!! Haha, I Love it so MUCH!! I’m so happy you had this time in the states and you have been able to ride and warm your bones in the warm sunny Florida weather! Wishing you and hubby David, your sweet pup and Biasini a safe trip home! ❤️🐴❤️
Thank you for this comment Diana. Wellington is unique with all the competitions and polo and horsey stuff.
It is very very busy.I really enjoy having media accreditation for both WEF and the Global Dressage. There is so much to see.
