Thanks for commenting. I agree about the record keeping. “Nails” I suppose that at that time nails were essential and had to be accounted for . Also they may have been expensive so had to be registered in the budget.

Yes. And hard to make. It’s funny how half the time we lose them, or just stick them in a junk drawer because they are in the way.

Wow interesting! The one about “mask” looks familiar to me…I saw my neighbors equipped just like them when they’re gardening or even at a beach, who came with their children as a chaperon😂

It seems to me that in Vietnam and Cambodia women do not want to have any sunburn or darkening of their skin. No suntans! Maybe your neighbours are the same.

Yes you’re exactly right! We believe suntans/sunburns triggers to skin cancer or extra wrinkles later on😁

My daughters would have a hard time walking with those kind of spurs. Plus, I can’t imagine a noble using those kind of spurs and cruel bits on their favorite horses.
The entanglement of wires, I’d hate to be the line technician. 🙂

Were spurs just for decoration or were they actually used on the horses?-
I think they may have been used but they were so excessive that it would have injured the horse.So perhaps they were not used too much.

Thank you Tina for the challenge. Yes the nails…who had to count those nails or did they just guess? Here in Florida I still see women with tans on their faces and bodies and I think of how hard people in other parts of the world try not to get any color on their skin . Thanks for your comment.

LOL you’re right on that Anne. Here on Kiawah those of our vintage are busy protecting ourselves from the sun while the younger generations still sunbathe daily. Go figure!

I wear minimum 40 protection factor sun screen every day. And a hat as well and long sleeved tropic wear shirts here in Florida. My daughter who is 34 has had a few bits cut out of her shoulders already so she is now wary and keeps the kid in shirts and sunscreen .

Me too Anne. I guess the 20-something’s think we’re crazy. I remember the days of baby oil and no protection, may the darkest tan win LOL
