LAPC #166 Artificial Light.

Battersea Bridge and the construction cranes renovating the Battersea Power Station .

In London we usually stay at a place on Lower Sloane Street and walk down to the Battersea Bridge, cross over the river and walk along the Embankment in Battersea Park. Then cross back across the Albert Bridge. There is a sign mounted on the south side of this bridge that says if soldiers are marching across it they must break step. I assume that if they marched in step the bridge might start to bounce with disastrous consequences.

It would seem that I only go out at night when we are in London. I hope that in the not too distant future we will be able to get back there. In the meantime thanks to Lens Artist Ann Christine for this Artificial Light Challenge. I doubt there are ranks of hundreds of soldiers who would be marching over the bridge in this day and age. But the sign remains! Glad it made you smile>

What a handsome old bridge, even if it’s not the most stable.

It is . I think that it can withstand the traffic it gets just not stomping soldiers.🤣
