All of the Canadian horses have passed the “jog”. They are all set to go tomorrow in the Grand Prix. GO CANADA!!

I think it is a cream leather. Gold would be shinier . But having a two tone noseband is common in dressage. We are all about the bling!

Yes I know! I generally like the more simple designs as to not take away from the horses’ faces, but I do like that one. It is not as contrasting as the white.

Sorry TSN is in Canada. But you could try NBC they have tv coverage and also streaming of the equestrian events.

I think the networks don’t show Equestrian on their scheduled broadcasts . They are only on the streaming. If it looks like thr USA is likely to get a medal in Equestrian then they may have it on . It’s the same here.

Nice. I wish the jog would be called what it is, a veterinary inspection, LOL. 😉
When the daughters rode the 2* in the Saugerties, the FEI veterinary inspection was as close to a standard exam from your own horse vet and covered every horse riding the FEI side of the schedule. So, if a rider wanted switch or double switch on competition day, they could. They also reviewed the FEI (or USEF) passport, any additional veterinary documents and certificates not in the passport. The 2* here in Denver, only the hunters did an FEI jog. The jumpers didn’t have any kind of inspection, which was surprising.

Well these Olympic horses will have had to show their passports on arrival and they will need the 6 monthly flu shots to be up to date and continuously so for the past several years. I think they do call it the “veterinary inspection” It’s just me that is calling it the “jog” as we all call it that. I am surprised that the hunters had a jog. As far as I know Hunter is not a discipline governed by the FEI. Certainly the use of various calmers in the hunter discipline is ….different. My understanding is that the FEI has a 0 tolerance for any medications when horses are competing in CDI or CSI. Although omeprazole is now permitted. At least that has been what I have understood from those who compete in the CDIs.
