Not all daffodils are yellow. FOTD

Most of the daffodils in our garden are yellow but last fall I put in some bulbs of daffodils that are not entirely yellow and now they are here.

I have seen several lovely photos of bright pink flowers posted by other bloggers. I am a bit late to the party but here is my bright pink . This plant is a low growing one and these leaves survive, under the snow, without too much damage. And these bright pink flowers are the first to appear in the spring. The rest of the garden is still just waking up!

This is my response to Cee’s Flower of the Day challenge.

We are all flowers who are created equal…though some of us have features. As they say…. VIVA LA DIFFERENCE,

Such sweet little flowers, love the colours. It amazes me how flowers survive such cold freezing winters. Great photos.

Great photos, Leueen. Narcissus? Is that the name of the not-yellow daffodil?

Narcissus is the official name for daffodils. Also jonquil but in my experience jonquils are often smaller and have two colors with the center part being a darker orange and the petals yellow or cream colored.

I didn’t know any of that! Thank you.

I love the gradient effect they have and it’s so nice to peak into your lovely garden and also be here to read your post. I hope you have been well 🙂
