This morning I awoke to a skiffer of snow on the ground and the temperature was below freezing. I felt pretty low about that. But the sun came out and this afternoon look what I saw on the south side of our house. Crocus!
What a difference it made to see these lovely little flowers. My husband then showed me that on the other side of the house in a shaded area there was still snow! But tomorrow we are having a much warmer day so the garden will be coming alive.

It appears spring has arrived. Our tulips are beginning to pop up, and patches of buffalo grass beginning to green. That’s what March snows can do. Another snow in April, combined with ground warmth would really crank everything into high gear.
What a delight.
It’s so wonderful to see and know about this. In Muscat it is already like summer.
We are having the variable spring season here and then perhaps on June it will suddenly be summer.

They are! The weather is up and down one day warm and the next cold again. But the crocus are undaunted!
