Summer heat. The small birds, chipmunks and squirrels take advantage of a small plastic bird bath.
This bluebird has a splash.. He took to the nearby tree to dry off.Sometimes there is a line up for the bird bath.Thirsty Chipmunk. In the heat I fill the little bath up morning and evening and still it can be almost empty.A red squirrel finds a shady spot in the tree.
We can see the bird feeder and the little bath from our eat in kitchen and there is always some activity to watch. Have a good week ahead everyone and if your climate is a hot one try to stay cool!
You gave me an advice maa. I will keep some rice and water in a small bowl in balcony for the birds. After seeing this I am going to keep water in a plate like you so in this extreme heat it can be useful for the birds. Thank you đđ»
We have an active birdbath in our front entry and they do love to splash all summer. Sadly we are primarily sitting in the back. I need to add something for their enjoyment (and ours) back there. Lovely images Anne
What nice photos, its good to see the variety of wildlife that are enjoying fresh water. Even though it’s plastic what a clever little water supply. My next purchase is a water supply near the bird feeder, not as hot here, but I am sure it will be welcome.
This is hot for our location. Today the thermometer at 32 Celsius and the Humidex at 40! I’m not sure what the pink plastic “saucer” started out as but it works well as a bird bath. Your water supply will be welcome too!

My wife presented me with a solar (bird bath) fountain for Father’s Day 2020. I was skeptical at first…now can recommend it.

Love that they are all enjoying the bird bath during the hot summer.

The high heat here has brought many birds, squirrels, etc. to our bird bath, also.

Our weather has also been so dry I think other watering holes have dried up.
