There are many unsung heroes in the Pandemic but today there is one group that has a special place in my heart. All schools in Ontario have been closed since the start of the lockdown in March. Recently parents were notified there would be a day to come to the school and collect your child’s things that had been left at the school. My daughter wrote this on Facebook about taking our Grandson Silas to school to pick up his and his sisters’ things. It nearly broke my heart to read it so I had to share it with you here.
Today this little man got to come with me to pick up his, and his sisters, items from school. He was so excited to go to his school, and I had to break his heart about a billion times explaining that we wouldn’t be able to give hugs, and we wouldn’t be able to get out of the truck. 😭 These tiny humans are the unsung hero’s of this whole thing, they have adapted to an entirely new life, trusting us without even understanding what’s going on in the world. Silas wanted his hair to be “extra handsome”. I’m so proud of my babies for the way they have navigated this, I cried some tears through sunglasses as we drove away from the school. Our littlest baby is done kindergarten. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭
