Wash your hands! Wash your hands! Wash your hands! That is the mantra for health in this time of Covid 19. I like bar soap rather than soap dispensed from a bottle with a pump. And my favorite soaps are made by the Equus Soap Company. I have been using their Bit Balm for my horse for a few years now. Two years ago at Christmas I got some of the soaps to give to friends as gifts. They got such good reviews that this past Christmas I decided to gift a few bars of these hand made soaps to myself. And I am so glad I did.

In this time of Covid I have never washed my hands as much as I do now. The Equus soaps are excellent. Here is what I do. I wet the front and back of my hands.

Then I start to work up a lather with the soap.

I rub front and back of my hands and in between my fingers. I’m sure you all know the drill. I do this for the required 20 seconds. And the Equus soaps comes up with a great foamy lather.

The insidious little cells of CV19 have their fat layer of protection broken down and are carried off with the soap bubbles. This soap is a luxury and it does not leave your hands with a skin cracking Saharan dryness! What more can you ask for?
As an aside, my husband , who took the photos for this post, made sure to position the little figure of Queen Elizabeth in the bg. She has a solar powered purse and she waves continuously as long as there is daylight. This little figure has been on our kitchen window waving for at least a decade. Well, that’s the Queen for you. Tireless. Consistent. Never gives up. So we should all be inspired by her as we stay home. If you would like to see what soaps Equus Soap Company has take a look at their website. https://equussoapco.com/
surely the queen has the same soap in her purse, no? btw, just linked to your lovely site in my latest blog post: https://wp.me/p6OZAy-VVw

I am sure Her Majesty would love this soap. She may well have some in her purse. Along with the solar powered battery and a small lace handkerchief!

With just the two of us in the house and little exposure to others, we prefer our soap to hand sanitizer. I keep those in my car and purse, and hubby takes a baggie of wipes. Your Equus soap looks amazing. My hands are dry enough!

It really is a very nice soap and the way it comes up to such an abundant lather makes me feel really good to. Small things can bring big satisfaction!

I gave myself a chemical burn using hand sanitizer, soap is so much better!

I bet they smell lovely! I recently got a book about making things yourself, and there is a chapter about making your own bar soaps there. It would be wonderful to use my own herbs and make soap. Maybe this summer? If there is going to be a long vacation while still practicing social distancing there is going to be time to learn new things 🙂

Definitely got a smile, thinking of a tiny Queen waving away, every day for ten years, I’m sure the royal touch will help repel any germs.

Well I am going to tune in to hear Her Majesty address the British Nation this afternoon. I’m sure she will be calm and reassuring. 🙂

Haven’t been here for a while, because i have been on downsizing spree, but am glad you keep in contact with me! Anything made from bees wax is good for the skin! (I use lip balm from beeswax). Thank you for the link!

We’ve washed out hands so much that my husbands are dry and cracking. Good to know this soap won’t cause that!

I have also used some hand cream but not all the time. This soap has a nice feel to it and my hands are holding up quite well.

Apparently the Queen will be speaking on the BBC tomorrow in England. It is only the 4th time she has done this in a time of crisis in her 68 year reign. I’m going to try to catch it on BBC satellite radio

They may show it on the BBC that is on TV in the US. She is doing it late afternoon British time. So it would be late evening or night time for you.
