Hello again Dear Humans! I know that you humans have a thing where you say that you are marking yourself safe when there is something dangerous happening. Well, we horses don’t exactly know what is going on with you Humans but we know you are all pretty knotted up about it. It started that weekend I was at the last horse show with Ma Leueen. There was a lot of talk and a lot of nervous energy. Then later that week Ma Leueen told me she was going home and I would be staying with Coach Lou. I wasn’t happy about that at first. But then she explained that the barn at home was different and there could be no one allowed into the barn except the humans who work there, like Barn Manager Carl and Friend Sue, because of some Vye Rus. It has some other weird name but I can’t get my head around that. Ma Leueen said she did not want me to arrive after a long trip and then she would not be able to be there to look after me. She reminded me that a couple of years ago I got home and it was really cold and none of we horses went outside and I got a bad stomach ache and had to go to the big hospital. Well…I didn’t want to go through that again so I agreed it would be better for me to stay in Florida.
I like it in Florida . It’s nice and warm and I get to go out to a nice paddock with grass every day . It’s good. Coach Lou rides me and he’s ok. But he makes me do everything the right way. I can’t manage to get in even the littlest bit of ease. Nope! I have to be perfect. But he does take me out for hacks as well. As you know I always enjoy that. Here I am with Assistant Ene and Gonzo and me with Coach Lou.
I’m not sure when I will be going home. But I don’t worry about it too much. Coach Lou tells me that Ma Leueen got home safely. That’s good and he also told me she and Sugar Man Dave( he always gives me sugar at the shows!) have to stay in their house all the time and can only go out for walks and not to the shops or anything until they can prove they don’t have the Vye Rus. Hmmm…that sounds serious. But I am happy to know she is ok and when this Vye Rus thing settles down I will get to go home. Here is a picture of me talking to you Dear Humans.
