Hello again Dear Humans. Previously I told you about our encounter with Hawgs! Now I have found out there are other dangerous creatures. Ma Leueen and I went out with Coach Lou on Eli, and Assistant Ene on Gonzo. As we were walking down the road to the Trail, Gonzo tells me something.
“Hey Beebs! You know what we saw yesterday when we were out on the trail? A GATOR! He was about six feet long! No kidding.”
Well that gave me a pause. I know that “gators” are large reptiles with huge, and I mean huge mouths with gigantic sharp teeth. And they can kill a horse if they are big. How do I know this? Ancestor memories. That stuff is in my ancestor memory file: “How to Survive in Florida 101”! Those gators will grab a leg and then pull you down into the water and drown you. Then they put you into a place where you will be covered up with water and they leave you to rot until you are easier to chew. I am not kidding. So what did I learn in “Survive 101”. Those gators can move faster than a horse for a short distance but they can’t outrun us over a longer distance. So I knew if we were going to go by the wetland trail I was going to keep my eyes open and all my senses on high alert.
Then I heard Ma Leueen ask if we were going on the wetlands trail and Coach Lou said no. What a relief! So we went on another trail where there were no gators and no hawgs. I asked Ma Leueen to take a video. I know that there are people in different places who read my blob posts and maybe they would like to see the Florida jungle in winter. Gonzo is the leader and Eli follows. I bring up the rear. I hope you will enjoy the video.
