Carl Hester

This past weekend Carl Hester won his 66th National Championship title. Sixty six!! Here is what he posted on his Facebook page about this latest win.

11 yrs ago Barney came 3rd in the 4 year old class at Stoneleigh. Fast forward to this weekend (a few silver medals later and a couple of big spooks) and he is now the deserved British National Champion! Believe in yourself, your horse and dreams!!

It is worth noting that one of those big spooks was at the Rio Olympics in 2016. The horse didn’t like the look of some decorative flowers. If you follow this blog you will know I am a HUGE fan of Carl Hester as a rider, trainer, coach, and horseman. Here is a video of his victory round with Barney when they won the British Dressage Grand Prix Championship last weekend.

I am inspired by Carl Hester’s quote. I will believe in myself, my horse and my dreams!

    When my daughters were learning to ride, then began moving up in the ranks, both Mark and Trish, used the axiom, “trust your horses, trust yourselves” extensively. Trish still uses it on them. The girls adopted the saying for themselves and use it when they occasionally mentor younger riders. Of course, the younger riders are students of Mark and Trish, so they get a “double helping” of the sage advice. 🙂

      I am so glad you liked the video. This is a happy horse and happy rider. He is just having a gallop around and having fun. Not many riders would do this as the might fear loosing control of their horse but Carl trusts this horse and they are both having fun.

      Carl Hester has worked hard and had setbacks in his career so if this quote is what he believes and is then backing for his success now I’m going with it
