I consider that Biasini is an elite athlete and as such should have the benefit of the very best supplements as well as the best feeds .This is the Canada Day weekend and I always like to feature some of the equine products that are made by Canadian companies. First of all Omega Alpha. Their products are clinically evaluated by, and in consultation with, master herbalists, pharmacists, veterinarians, medical doctors and naturopathic doctors. I have had good results with all their products and would not hesitate to recommend them.
Products I use on a daily basis
Vantiox. Anti-oxidant , muscle and cell protector. This is given in his feed.
Gastra FX stomach support. I give this to Biasini before I ride him to help protect his stomach.
Biotic 8 Pre and Probiotic digestive tract formula. This is given in his feed.
RegenerEQ GI regenerator. This liquid product was recommended to me by two Board Certified equine gastro-intestinal specialists for helping maintain good health in the hindgut.
Herba Coat a coat conditioner that has essential oils and botanicals. I use this a lot in the Florida winters as I usually bathe Biasini after each ride.
Sinew-X Plus Muscle, joint and ligament formula. This is an excellent joint supplement. I think it is very important to keep the joints in the best shape possible and this is the best formula I have found for this purpose. It is liquid and is given in his feed.
Products I use when necessary.
Immune Plus. Immune system formula. I give this to Biasini when we are going to shows and when I am preparing him for the long trip to or from Florida.
Tetda Natural liniment. I have used this when Biasini has bruised himself in his lower legs. I also occasionally use it after exercise on his hind legs.
Equisel-Lyte A recovery formula with branched chain amino acids. If we are working in hot weather I will give this in the meal following the exercise. I also will give it in the days before he has the trip to or from Florida to keep him well hydrated for the journey.
This may look like a lot but Biasini is a high performance athlete and is in full training so I think that , just like human athletes, he needs support to be able to perform his best.
