Fellow blogger Subbashini of Exploring the World Around Us gave me a “gift” as part of the White Elephant Challenge. Her gift was her drawing of a horse. Subbashini illustrates her blog posts with lovely drawings and I was honored to have received this horse gift. This Challenge is to give the gift of a photo to three bloggers. I was happy to respond and to give a photo gift to three bloggers. If they wish to take up the challenge as well then that is wonderful but there is no obligation to do so.
To Heather at Dinosaurs, Donkeys and MS I would like to give my photo of Isabel Werth in her victory round having won the Gold Medal at the World Equestrian Games. Her mare Bella Rose had been injured and spent four years out of competiton There was doubt she would ever return to the show ring. But Isabel never lost hope and when Bella Rose was finally healed brought her back to victory. That kind of endurance is just what Heather, who lives with Multiple Sclerosis, brings us in her very optimistic blog.
To Zoolon of Zoolon Hub my photo of the Thames River at night. The river flows beneath Chelsea Bridge, the dots of red lights are the construction cranes redeveloping the Battersea Power Station. Zoolon is a musician, composer, lyricist, poet and through those mediums is a social commentator. The photo of the bridge and lights; old and new and a river running through it reminds me of Zoolon’s very engaging and creative blog.
My third photo gift is to Cat of Wild Atlantic Rider. This rider and riding instructor lives on the West Coast of Ireland in County Mayo. She goes galloping on the beach! In her blog she shares this and her other horse adventures, horse shows and accomplishments with honesty and a sense of humor. Those are two qualities essential to being a good horse person and rider. I am gifting her this photo of Biasini and me setting off on the exentended canter in the Prix St. George dressage test. It is not a gallop on the beach but Biasini loves this and I just go along with him.
