Hello Dear Humans! Hallelujah! I am back in my own stall. They led me down the hallway and I fairly flew on winged hooves. And there was my friend Fluffy. We started to talk through the bars of our stalls.
“Beebs! Where have you been?” Fluffy asked me as soon as I was led into my stall. “Oh man…” I said. “I’ve been down the other end with the mares. There’s one that talks all the time and another one that kicks the walls. It was awful.”
“Really! That does sound bad,” he said and I told him about the Rosa Red mare. The non stop chatter box. She came home from the show on the weekend, when I was still across the hall from her, and she nattered on about how “Brilliant” she had been. I just smiled and nodded. But, here’s the funny part Dear Humans, apparently she was brilliant the first two days and then was a rather naughty little Miss on the last day! Tee Hee! I overheard the Humans talking about it. I always listen to the Humans ’cause I can find out all sorts of interesting info.
So…did I tell Rosa Red I knew she had been not so ‘brilliant’ on the last day? No, I did not. Because she still got a good score and who needs to spend energy on that sort of thing? Not me. So I just kept my head behind my haynet and chuckled to myself! But I did tell Fluffy and he laughed! Then Gaucho, he’s next to Fluffy and says he was born in Argentina . Who knows if he was or not but he likes to be called Gaucho so that’s what we call him. Well, he still has his appendages, he chipped in and said he’d love to get down to the hall and get know to the mares. Then he made some odd grunting noises!
“Never forget the Mares of Diomedes,” I said to him. “They ate humans and probably horses too! Those mares down the hall are just like them. I’m lucky I survived.” I have to tell you Dear Humans there are some horses, that I know from my ancestor memories, that are not so nice. It’s not all Pegasus and Unicorns!
I’m back to work now. For a few days Ma Leueen took me for walks in the forest which was nice. I asked her to take a video ’cause I thought the Human readers would like to see how nice it is. Ma Leueen tells me it was too dark in the woods in the morning to get a good video but I think you will like it anyway. Listen for the bird songs and the sound of my hooves stepping through the leaves.
Till next time Dear Humans. Oh….and thank you for all your good wishes when I wasn’t well and couldn’t go to the show. I appreciated that.
