Hello Dear Humans! Ma Leueen has told me that she has posted about the awful week I had last week. I had a stomach ache. It came and then it went and then it came and it stayed. Now, I’m not being a sissy but it was pretty uncomfortable. I heard Ma Leueen and Vet Rob talking about it. I knew they had made the decision to send me to the hospital. I don’t like going to the hospital but I knew that this might be the only way I could stop my stomach aching. Just to let you know that Vet Rob always has treats. Always. Yummy ones. But I didn’t even feel like eating any. That’s how bad I felt.
The people at the hospital were nice. Vet Dustin examined me. They did a rectal exam Dear Humans! Let me tell you that is NOT pleasant. But I did my best not to kick Vet Dustin and just grin and bear it!
I won’t go into all the details but during the night I started to feel better. The next day Vet Dustin and some other vets did some other stuff and Ma Leueen came to see me. I was there for another couple of days and they let me eat a mash that didn’t taste of anything much and a tiny, and I do mean tiny, bit of hay.
Finally, Ma Leueen came last Friday and told me I was going home. Whew! What relief! I know I was lucky because there were other horses there who had bad stomachs and they had to go for what you humans call “surgery”. Those horses told me they felt pretty rough and had to be all bandaged up. And there were little ones there with their Mums.
I had one in the stall next to me. The night before I came home, I asked the Mum what was wrong with her little one. She said she couldn’t talk about it. Then she started to cry. Oh…….oh……..I felt so bad. I told her I was sorry I had upset her. It broke my heart Dear Humans, it really did.
The next day, as Ma Leueen was taking me out to the trailer to go home, I went past the Mum and told her I would ask the Spirit Healers to come to help her little one. She just nodded her head. When I got into the trailer I was so sad. So sad. I called on the Spirit Healers and asked them to help the little one.
I am so lucky. I got to come home. Ma Leueen got my tail washed today and gave me a nice brushing and clean up.
The weather is warmer and we have all been out in the paddocks. It is wet as the snow is melting but there is warmth in the sun.
Ma Leueen has told me that lots of humans had asked her to give me a hug or to give me a pat. Thank you so much Dear Humans. I know that there are many humans who have sent good wishes and pats and hugs. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
