These made me think of Mr Ed (the talking horse). I remember him making all kinds of funny faces. I wonder how they got him to do that?

I have heard they used to give him peanut butter and then he would make faces and ‘talk’ .

Not quite so extreme but he can put his ears back and look fairly menacing if he is really annoyed.
