Biasini Speaks: I Have Something to Say!

We were out walking in the forest when my human, Ma Leueen says: “Next week, when I’m in the hospital, I’m going to think of this forest when they put me to sleep.”

PUT ME TO SLEEP!!   I stopped dead in my tracks!  When you humans say “put to sleep” you really mean “put to death”. We horses know that! So what I heard was that Ma Leueen was going to the hospital and they would put her to death!  NO! NO! NO!

Then she gave me a pat and said :”  No, I don’t mean they are going to kill me I mean they will give me something like they give you when the dentist does your teeth. It will just send me off to snooze land until they have taken out the bit they need to take out. ”

I breathed a sigh of relief. Let me tell you I was quite rattled.  I am lucky that Ma Leueen knows me well, and we can communicate with each other, so she knew exactly why I was upset. But most humans think we are about as thick as two planks of wood.  Well, I’m here to tell you we are not. We understand EVERYTHING you humans are talking  about. Sometimes we get bored and tune out your babble but if we want to we can understand every single word!

For awhile I had been hearing other humans at the barn saying things like: “When is your surgery?” or “How long will you have to stay in the hospital?” and ” How long will it be before you can ride again?”  So I knew something was up. Hospital is not good. I was worried. Very worried.  Ma Leueen explained to me that she had to have something called a gall balloon taken out as it had filled up with pebbles.  She told me she did not need it anymore and would get on fine without it.  You humans are so odd. You have body parts that you don’t need. We horses use all of our body parts and especially all of our digestive body parts. But it seems humans have bits and pieces that can be removed with no ill effects. When she told me that it made me feel better.

But when she was gone I still worried. I tried to put a good face on it when Coach Belinda rode me the day Ma Leueen was in hospital but I was worried.  But once I settled in for my evening meal I just knew that Ma Leueen was ok. How did I know that?  Because we horses are able to communicate without words over distances. We don’t need those little gizmos you humans use to speak to one another over distance. We can transmit and receive thoughts directly. I knew. Ma Leueen was ok.

Now…..listen up humans…..I have something to say!

The next time you think horses are just stupid or dumb animals remember this.

  1. We hear and understand everything you say.
  2. We are more aware of everything around us than you humans are.
  3. We don’t need speech or language to communicate we are able to transmit pure thought.

Oh…before I bid you good day, Ma Leueen is back now and she has asked me to thank you for all your good wishes.  She says that she got nice messages from all across the blogosphere.  So, on her behalf, I thank you.

Biasini is very easy to speak for because he is such a character I can tell what he is thinking. He is annoyed with me at the moment as I am going to the barn and grooming him and tacking him up but I’m not able to ride him yet. But I am feeling quite well so I hope the surgeon will give me a go ahead to at least get on and walk him in a week or so. I’m so glad you enjoy hearing Biasini “speak”. Thanks for letting me know.

Lovely post Biasini and I already knew that you know what we are saying, as well as being more aware than we are. 🙂
I’m so glad Anne is back home. Wishing her a speedy recovery. xxx

Lovely post from your Biasini, you are obviously well in tune with each other. I have a similar relationship with my dog Evie, who after my recent gallbladder operation, seemed to instinctively know I was not feeling my best and would go to great ‘careful’ lengths to try to comfort me whilst I recuperated. I hope you’re feeling better after your operation and are back in the saddle soon. Best wishes Marie x

Thank you. I think dogs do know. We have a little Schnauzer and she has been aware that I am Recuperating and doesn’t bound onto my tummy in the mornings when she gets up onto the bed. I’m glad you have Evie.

Hope all well after operation. I am very cross here as a stupid politician added a clauses in a parliamentary bill that animals can’t feel “pain or emotions” https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/mps-just-voted-that-animals-cannot-feel-pain-or-emotions-a3696641.html

    1. anne leueen Avatar

Seriously? What is the matter with people. Is that yet another idiotic idea to save money? That politician will come back in another life as a horse or donkey either in the developing world to an ill informed owner who does not know how to spare the animal suffering or a trainer in the first world that is just plain cruel. Then that politician will learn about pain and suffering! ARGHhhh!

      1. Emma Cownie Avatar

Exactly!!!!! I really do think there is something wrong with these people. They have little empathy for people and less for animals.

I have corresponded by email to a friend who is involved with animal (cats and dogs) rescue in London about this and she said that the animal rights organizations in England are strong enough that they will not let this go without ensuring animals get protected.

          1. Emma Cownie Avatar

Well done for contacting your friend in the UK. To be honest most British people are animal lovers so I can’t see them getting very far with this.

A beautiful post dear Biasini and we totally understand how you can sense and communicate in a realm so natural to animals. We are so glad to hear your Ma Leueen is back home and on the mend. Much love to you all from Eivor, Pearl and Xenia ☺💖 xxx

Glad to hear you are back and doing well, Anne. Tell Biasini that some of humans understand because we have dogs who also call us out on the words we use because they understand our language even if we don’t understand theirs.
Hope you are up to the best soon!

    1. anne leueen Avatar

I will pass that on to Biasini. Thank you!
