I think I am a bit of a poet.
So I thought I might as well show it.
Ma Leueen says I could be a whiz,
So enjoy … with a glass of fizz.
This poem is “found” not on the ground but
From sentences I have already “spoken” when I “speak”.
I am the only horse in the barn that does this.
I think we are going to do rather well.
I can ace the Two’s. Step! Change! Step! Change!
Trot. Slow. Legs. Up. Trot. Slow. Legs. Up.
I’ve got it. I can do that one.
Then trainer Lynsey said: “Smart horse.”
Nice looking mare but she was snooty. We horses know that.
The Tellingbone; those things humans talk into.
We horses can communicate without language.
We horses can be airborne.
Down the hill and up again. Back to the barn in time for lunch.
That’s it. Today’s the day. It was perfume to my nostrils
The dentists pull the teeth right out of your heads!
The human females had some bizarre things on their feet.
Humans, there’s just no pleasing them sometimes.
And that Dear Humans is my “found poem.”
