I was standing on the Westminster Bridge in London taking pictures of the statue of Boudica. The statue was unveiled in 1902 and depicts Boudica, a leader of the Iceni tribe in her chariot leading a revolt against the Roman occupiers in 60AD. Whether Boudica was killed in battle or died of an illness is a thorny question but she is seen as a hero nonetheless.
I took a few photos and suddenly I saw a rather interesting angle. One horse was “jumping” over the London Eye. The Eye is on the opposite bank of the Thames.
Before continuing on along the Embankment I took one more photo of this impressive statue with it’s horses and the women warriors.
I have yet to see a live horse this week in London but I have seen several other “horses” and will show you some more this weekend.
