This week’s photo challenge from Word press is A Good Match. I think this well matched pair fills the requirement for a “good match”.
This photo was taken at the Changing of the Horse Guards . This takes place each day as the guards who have been on duty since the previous day are relieved. The riders are members of the Queen’s Household Cavalry; on the right is a member of the Lifeguards (with a white plume on the helmet) and on the left a member of the Blues and Royals. (with a red plume on his helmet). These two regiments are senior members of the British Army. The Lifeguards and Blues and Royals have stood on guard at the Horse Guards since 1660 when King Charles 11 was restored to the throne.
