Hello Human Readers! Biasini here. I’m showing at White Fences Equestrian. Came down in the trailer today with two other horses; a nice gelding called Dante who is going to be doing the Grand Prix with his rider . She’s a student of Lou’s and Dante told me this will be her first Grand Prix. He said he’s a bit nervous about it and he really wants to do well for her. But he said he thinks he can do well and I told him it would be fine. There was also a grey mare with us. Nice looking mare but wow she was pretty snooty! Didn’t have time for either of us really. Well ,that’s a mare with attitude for you.
When I arrived my room was ready for me. My human, Ma Leueen, had gone ahead and had it all ready. Nice and clean just the way I like it. I’m at the end of a row just behind Pegaso. He’s stallion who is ridden by Lou.Nice fellow.He just came from Spain a few months ago. Since we horses can communicate without language it is no problem having a conversation with him.
Ma Leueen let me settle in and then she got my bridle and saddle on and we went over to Ring Two which is where we will do our test tomorrow. I took a look around and Ma Leueen’s other half, Mr.David, was there and he gave me some sugar cubes in front of the judges stand. That helps me to see the stand as something not too scary. I think it would be nice if, on the day, the judge would give me a bit of sugar too but….that’s another story.
After we did some work and practiced a few things Ma Leueen took off my bridle and saddle and gave me a bath. Then it was time for my dinner.
The warm up rings are near my room and like all the other rings they have new footing. Its great. I really like it. Nice and springy. So it’s all good and I am looking forward to the show. I think we are going to do rather well.
